Don't underestimate the power of social media and CCTVs on tracking someone especially a beautiful shoplifter.
A woman who was identified as Jobelle Bascug, a 16 year old, managed to leave the shop wearing the boutique's high-heel shoes, dress, shoulder bag, and jewelry worth a total of P10,000 in Mandaue City, Cebu last August 12, 2014 (Tuesday).

Ironically, the English word for Bascug is Strength. That confidence and strength to shoplift over P10,000.00
Mall Boutique's one of the sales attendant, Adam Dignos was surprised over a woman trying to fit inside their shop for two hours. According to GMA Network, this woman asked where the fitting room was and then at the right opportunity, exited the shop in haste with shop's some items worth P10,000.00.
Adam Dignos tried to pursue the woman where she was wearing their Boutique's items but failed. However, though, the woman managed to leave the store, she left behind clothes and her old bag.
What is beauty if the brain is empty?
The sales attendant then found out a ticket with her name. Trying to search in the social media, they successfully found her Facebook account including her fanpage. They concluded that it was really her in the photo.
Jessa Romagos, owner of the shop, then contacted Jobelle Bascug. Jobelle promised to pay for the items yet Romagos still pursuing for charges against Jobelle.
"Maliit lang yun almost P10,000, kaya niya yun i-settle pero gusto ko siyang turuan ng leksyon dahil kung parati niyang gagawin yun magiging madali lang yun sa kanya," Romagos said. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA NewsUpdate:
According to ABSCBN News, this shoplifter was released at Mandaue Police Station 2 because Jobelle claimed she was just a minor age.
Jessa Romagos, owner of the boutique, will not file a complaint as stated in earlier report. The alleged beautiful shoplifter is now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare Development(DSWD).
Netizens comments
Netizens blasted for mixed comments for Jobelle's case. Some of them evenly concerned and happy that the shoplifter got away.
Some were angry about what happen. Some became a doctor and even diagnosed she had kleptomania (a strong impulse to steal, stemming from emotional disturbance rather than economic needs).

Kleptomania is the inability to refrain from the urge to steal items and is done for reasons other than personal use or financial gain. ~ WikipediaOne of the fanpages posted:
