Anria Galang Espiritu, aged 26, employed at United Pulp and Paper Company and graduated from AMA University, was found face-down floating dead on rice field in Barangay Sapang Bayan, Calumpit, Bulacan on August 17, 2014. 

The body found had stabbed wounds. Calumpit Municipal Police Station (MPS) formed a Task Force for Anria to solve and give justice to Anria Galang Espiritu.

Facebook page "Justice for Anria" grew thousands of supporters to call JUSTICE about Anria. 
As of this writing, "Justice for Anria" has a total of 65,034 likes.

In addition, Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives (SOCO) team found a screw driver, long iron chain and the victim’s underwear in the vicinity of the crime scene that will point and capture suspects.

Manila Bulletin reported that the SOCO team brought one known suspect, Elmer Joson, a 45-year-old jeepney driver, along with two other unnamed suspects,  invited for interrogation.

Anria Galang Espiritu’s slay-rape had prompted thousands of people to support a Facebook page calling for justice.

With deep sorrow we would like to share the news of the sad demise of Anria Galang Espiritu. She joined our creator on August 14, 2014.
Her wake will be at her residence in Iba o Este Calumpit, Bulacan.
Interment will be on August 23 2014 at 2:00pm.
We would like to request friends and family to offer a quiet moment and a silent prayer for the eternal repose of her soul.
