Wondering what is the real reason behind Ice Bucket Challenge? Well, as you all know, it became a viral on social media and most known personalities were now involved with it.
However, there were also people participated the challenge without even knowing what Ice Bucket Challenge or ALS Ice Bucket Challenge means.

So question rises mostly with ALS. What is ALS? Why there is Ice Bucket Challenge?

ALS is a  neuron disease, which means amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It is also referred as Motor Neuron Disorder (MND).

In the US, it is referred Lou Gehrig's disease, which characterised as muscle spasticity & difficulty in speaking.

Other symptoms are:
  • progressive weakness
  • difficulty in swallowing and breathing
In the US alone, there were more than 5000 diagnosed to have ALS annually. 

What "Ice Bucket Challenge" really does?

The said Ice Bucket Challenge went viral through social media in the midst of during July-August 2014.

The person challenges and dares nominated participants to comply or else forfeit to a charitable way within 24 hours. The challengers shall be recorded a video with bucket of ice water poured in their head. Then the participants call out a nomination to others.
